Twitter Careers

Role:

Research, UI/UX

Description:

Twitter is not only a conversational platform, but it is known as a top company around the world. With so much diversity, collaboration, and forward thinking digital strategies, this brand should show it’s passion through all outlets of information.

While interviewing within the company, I was tasked with how I would position Twitter's Career pages. When looking at Twitter’s career pages in comparison to it’s social media platform, there seemed to be a disconnect with the empowering voice it gives users’ and the design that is utilized for career pages. Much of the content used for @JoinTheFlock or LinkedIn is not shown on the career website. To place Twitter as the top career destination, I’d place more brand studio content on pages, linking posts through the corporate Twitter account and really get repetitive with all the good the company does so that it’s clear to potential employees.

Drawing off of the main Twitter.com website, much more color and motion was used to give off energy and engage with viewers. Updating the landing page to a more abstract colorful image would be more intriguing to look at and can lead the eye down to other useful information.

Upon doing more research to see what sets Twitter apart from other companies, I came up with five categories to begin as popular topics for potential employees. I added in eye-catching logos that could be linked to another page among the website, such as Diversity and Values pages.
